Willard "Bud" Martin, Jr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in New Hampshire. He was educated in the Laconia public school system. After graduating from Bates College in Maine, he received his Law degree from Harvard University and returned to New Hampshire to practice law and serve his community.
Bud’s public service has been exemplary. Bud has received numerous awards and recognitions from local and state community organizations, including being named Conservation Farmer of the Year in New Hampshire, receiving the Salvation Army’s William Booth Award, and most recently, the Children’s Trust Fund Award.
Whether it be leading a successful law practice or as a member of the Salvation Army Board, taking on difficult issues as a New Hampshire State Representative, or serving as a highly respected District Court or Family Division Judge, Bud Martin believes firmly in strengthening our community through a life of civic service.
Bud lives with his wife, Margaret Demos, and their daughter Galya, who is a high school student. His daughter Melissa is an attorney, and daughter Helen is an organic farmer.
